The long-awaited delivery of a high-capacity, oversized transformer to St. Petersburg has been successfully completed, despite a series of unprecedented challenges encountered during the multi-stage transportation process. From delays caused by monsoons to pirate threats and a unique unloading operation, this logistics task became a true test of resilience.

Total cargo weight: 491,000 kg

The operation, which demanded a high level of professionalism and the overcoming of numerous difficulties, culminated in the successful unloading of the equipment at the port of St. Petersburg.

The transportation was initially disrupted due to seasonal monsoons. The team faced multiple challenges during preparation, including several changes to the loading dock and scheme in China, as not every dock could support the transformer’s weight, and not every port had the capability to use a floating crane for transshipment. Ultimately, the loading onto the vessel was carried out at the Nantong River Port with the direct involvement of a 1,000-ton floating crane.

To minimize delays and optimize the transportation process, the team made several strategic decisions. Special permits were obtained for nighttime river navigation and after-hours port operations, allowing the schedule to be brought back on track.

Special attention was paid to transportation safety. The route passed through the Indian Ocean and East African waters—regions known for high piracy risks. To ensure the safety of the cargo and crew, military escort was arranged for the vessel during this hazardous leg of the journey.

The next phase of this complex logistics operation took place in St. Petersburg. Unloading the transformer became a unique event, requiring seamless teamwork and a well-thought-out technical plan. The unloading was performed using two floating cranes operating in tandem—an unconventional solution that demanded a high level of coordination.

Special equipment, including a spreader beam and slings, had to be fabricated for the unloading. Several ports in St. Petersburg refused to accommodate the vessel due to the technical specifications of the oversized cargo, necessitating a swift search for an alternative solution. Ultimately, the transformer was successfully transferred onto a specialized 32-axle transporter and delivered to its final destination.

To meet the needs of a nuclear power plant along the route Moscow — to the site of the Kursk NPP in Kurchatov (Kursk region), we carried out the transportation of equipment. We performed the following stages:

Our team has successfully completed a series of timber shipments along a non-standard route: Belarus — Russia — Korea. The order came from a Kazakh partner.
The shipment was carried out through the territory of Russia in full compliance with all transit and customs formalities. We ensured seamless coordination between the rail and sea segments, as well as control over delivery timelines and cargo safety throughout the entire journey.
Despite the challenging geopolitical and transport situation, we have demonstrated that even such complex supply chains can operate reliably — provided that the logistics provider has the experience, resources, and determination to see the job through to the end.

Employees of TTE Group took an active part in a major city event — the bike ride along the Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD). The event brought together lovers of an active lifestyle, and our company could not stay on the sidelines.

This year's route was special: the organizers offered participants a new, extended route of 20 km. The bike ride took place along a section of the WHSD that is normally only accessible to motor vehicles, which added a special atmosphere and drive to the event.

Participating in such events for TTE Group is not only an opportunity to support a healthy lifestyle but also a great way to strengthen team spirit, recharge with energy, and gain positive emotions.
The bike ride along the WHSD was a real challenge for us. Riding along a road where a steady stream of cars usually flows is a completely different experience. The city reveals itself from a new perspective, and a shared goal brings people together. We covered 20 km in high spirits, feeling proud of ourselves and our team.
